Listen to AudioCAMP STEAD is a collaborate youth ministry effort by many churches under the guidance and administration of Grace Bible Church, all committed to impacting youth groups with the truths of God's word and the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to qualified, biblical preaching and root everthing we do in the primacy of the preached Word.
At Camp Stead, our mission is to lay a strong biblical foundation for youth group ministry, guiding them not just for the upcoming year, but for many years to come. We strive to encourage steadfastness in God's truth while inspiring each other to excel in every good work.
We aim to foster biblical relationships through dedicated time spent in the preached Word of God. Camp Stead is an ideal environment for any youth group that shares our biblical values and seeks a similar spiritual direction.
At Camp Stead, the priority is on qualified biblical preaching. Every activity, from fun and games to worship and relationship-building, is rooted in the primacy of the preached Word. As 1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain.”
Camp Stead will be June 27-30, 2025 (Friday through Monday). We use the Hartland Christian Camp facility in Badger, CA, where students and leaders stay in cabins and all activities are hosted on-campus.
This year's theme "Looking to Jesus" comes from 1 John 3:2-3 and will feature guest speakers DAVID PAPILLON and JEREN WENTWORTH.
Camp Stead will depend on your church's fundraising involvement, but base camper registration begins at $360, covering all meals and transportation.
Camp registration covers your lodging, meals, and transportation from Bakersfeld for the days covered. If your church has additional travel costs involved, be sure you know about those. Students may want to bring extra cash for the camp store or "fun money", but all activities are paid for.
We welcome incoming Seventh-Graders (those who have completed or are almost done with sixth grade) and allow for outgoing Senior High students to participate.
Pack to have fun! A complete list will be sent to all campers on what to bring, but don't forget a sleeping bag and pillow for your cabin bunk, clothes you can get MESSY in, and an extra pair of shoes (mud pit ahoy!)
We ask that you keep your cell phone at home or check it in with a counselor when you arrive. We want students involved and participating in camp functions and free of distractions that cell phones bring. In an event of an emergency, camp staff and leaders will have access to your student's medical information and contact details.
Your pastor can sign up your church with our Church Interest Form, where we can make sure he gets all necessary information about Camp Stead. We do not accept individual registration from outside churches, so you'll need to be a part of one of the participating churches to attend.
Depending on your church's needs, fundraising efforts and special accomodations may be made for student scholarships. Our host church, Grace Bible Church, offers several fundraising events throughout the spring and summer to help students cover fees.
Subscribe to receive updates from Camp Stead, and make sure your youth ministry leader is set up to get our emails!
